City Kites

An effort to bring the whimsical past-time of kite flying into an urban setting, City Kites was a collaborative batch production project that challenged our engineering skills and fabrication efficiency. Each unit was designed to be lightweight, portable, and easy to use. The kite patterns were laser-cut, hemmed, and sewn together using two colors of rip-stop nylon. Each package (10 in total) contain one kite fitted with necessary hardware and one hand-turned wooden spool.
