Driftwood Ladder

2023. 35mm film documentation of site installation. Found driftwood with hand-carved joinery.

Installation at Flathead Lake Biological Research Station.

Driftwood Ladder was designed, created, installed, and disassembled all on site at Flathead Lake. A tool to inspire exploration, the ladder invites visitors to seek out new vantage points. Once disassembled, the only trace of the installation were the hand-cut half laps created in the construction process, left on the driftwood pieces, in the piles that they were found in.
